Cubera Snapper

Identifiers: Solitary. Silvery to dark brown body. Often displays bars on back.

Habitat: Nearshore rocky overhangs and ledges. Small cubera are known to enter freshwater. Found from Massachusetts to Brazil in the western Atlantic Ocean.

Average Lifespan:

Size: Up to 5 feet (6 m)

Weight: Up to 25 lbs (58 kg)

Food: Carnivorous. Mainly crabs and fish
