Lutjanus apodus
Identifiers: Silver to coppery body often with pale bars. Blue line under eye. Yellow fins. Juvenile: More yellow. Has bars on back with a stripe through eye.
Habitat: Drifting over reefs. Juveniles are found in shallow bays and mangroves. Western Atlantic down to South America, from Massachusetts to Brazil
