Identifiers: Elongated silver body with dark bar or bars on gill. Black lateral keel on sides of base of tail.

Habitat: Shallow inshore waters. Indian, Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

Food: Smaller fish

Interesting Facts: They are the largest of the family Belonidae. Also known as the Crocodile needlefish.
